After graduating she returned to her home island to join the first ensemble of dancers of ŻfinMalta\, first as an apprentice and for the next three years as a full-time dancer. Throughout her career she has performed extensively both locally and internationally\, working with choreographers such as Iván Pérez\, Athanasia Kanellopoulou\, Jose Agudo\, Mavin Khoo\, Francesca Tranter\, Lucia Piquero\, Paolo Mangiola amongst others. Her roles further include that of teacher\, movement director\, choreographer and rehearsal director. Most importantly\, no previous experience in dance is required. \n  \nFlorinda is a dance artist from and based in Malta. She initiates\, leads\, and supports performing arts projects in Malta and internationally\, taking on various roles as a contemporary dance and screendance performer\, maker\, collaborator\, researcher\, educator\, rehearsal director\, and producer. Her practice collaboratively investigates human and more-than-human relations within public spaces through feminist and posthumanist perspectives. This dynamic new work is a dance theatre adaptation of the Christmas book\, Ħolm tal-Milied? by Trevor Zahra\, a classic story many know and love from their childhood and continue to pass on. ‘Ħolm tal-Milied?’ is a delightful full family experience\, taking audiences on a nostalgic ride\, while juxtaposing classic Maltese traditions with a fresh and contemporary musical score and aesthetic. Dramaturgy is by regular collaborator Victor Jacono and for the first time\, ŻfinMalta collaborates with set designer Anna Horvath and Laurent Uyttersprot for costumes. The New Victorians are a high-profile\, award-winning sister duo who make music and theatre. Since 2015\, they have released two full length studio albums and multiple EPs\, opened for multi-platinum artist Anastacia on her Evolution Tour and for the BBC Concert Orchestra in 2019\, and repeatedly topped local airplay charts. Adriano Bolognino’s extensive portfolio of achievements includes recipient of the Danza&Danza Emergent Choreographer Award 2022\, new creations for Kayzer Ballet in 2023 and Compagnia Opus Ballet in 2022.
