ŻfinMalta, the national dance company of Malta, under the artistic direction of Matthew William Robinson, is holding auditions for dancers of any gender identity.

ŻfinMalta is a home for groundbreaking artistic collaborations that centre movement as a transformative force in our world, engaging a breadth of artistic voices from near and far to create visually striking, physically distinctive dance work, that captivates the imagination of audiences nationally and internationally. Embedded within the artistic ecology of the nation, ŻfinMalta strives to highlight Malta as a vibrant cultural centre within the European landscape of artistic practice.
ŻfinMalta’s current repertoire includes works by KOR’SIA, Liliana Barros, Simon Riccardi-Zani and Sita Ostheimer. The company’s next season will include new creations by artists including Paloma Munoz, Matthew William Robinson and Diego Tortelli.
ŻfinMalta forms part of the National Agency for the Performing Arts (NAPA) which provides a joint legal, administrative, and organisational framework for KorMalta, Teatru Malta and ŻfinMalta.
Job Description
Informed by the artistic direction of Matthew William Robinson the company is seeking curious, versatile dancers with experience in a range of approaches.
Candidates should have a rich physical understanding, developed technical practice, and be bold improvisors with a sense of their individual artistry.
ŻfinMalta is seeking dancers who can actively contribute to the creative process and adapt to the varied methodologies of the choreographers we work with.
Facilitation experience and a passion for engaging with others is desired.
Qualifications
A minimum two (2) years of professional dance experience is required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to audition on Saturday 7th June 2025, at ŻfinMalta studios, Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta, Malta.
Selected candidates will be asked to stay on for an extra day, Sunday 8th June 2025.
Successful applicants will enter into a paid contract with ŻfinMalta National Dance Company from September 2025 to the end of July 2025, for a maximum of 47 paid weeks.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by Monday 12th May 2025.
This call shall be limited to EU registered citizens due to visa legal limitations for the role in question. The company does not hold online or private auditions.
