Now in Malta\, Julienne is seeking alternate ways in which to share her passion for movement and dance while actively participating in the social domain. Many of the movement studies which are taught will include flat backs\, primitive squat\, lateral stretches\, release swings\, leg swings\, deep lunges\, and lateral T positions. She completed her PhD in Humanities- Fine Arts at Concordia University in Montréal\, Canada. Hailing from Detroit\, Michigan\, USA\, she is an alumni of Interlochen Arts Academy\, The Ailey School\, Marymount Manhattan College (BA)\, and Brunel University (MA). She received intensive training from dance companies including Paul Taylor\, Mark Morris\, Jose Limon\, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet\, Ballet Internationale\, Bossov Ballet Theater\, Ballet Intensive from Moscow\, and ABT. She holds certifications from Yoga Alliance Teacher Training from Modo Yogo\, American Ballet National Training Curriculum\, Laban Movement Analysis and Language of Dance for Dance Educators\, and Alvin Ailey School for Horton Technique. She has created and collaborated in over 30 performative works in Argentina\, Austria\, Canada\, Finland\, Malta\, Trinidad and Tobago\, United Kingdom\, and the United States. She began dancing at the age of 3 with the College of Dance in Malta\, and at 18\, she moved to London to train full-time at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. \n  \nAfter graduating\, Zoe returned to Malta and joined ŻfinMalta\, where she was part of the company’s first ensemble of dancers. She spent four years with ŻfinMalta performing locally and internationally\, working with a variety of renowned choreographers such as Iván Pérez\, Athanasia Kanellopoulou\, Jose Agudo\, Mavin Khoo\, Francesca Tranter\, Lucia Piquero\, and Paolo Mangiola. In these contemporary classes\, designed for professional practitioners of dance\, Attila will encourage dancers to take risks and experiment with personal movement style. That same year\, Attila was offered an apprenticeship with the Hofesh Shechter Company in the UK. What began as a one-year opportunity\, turned into eight years as a full company member. During his time there\, he also led workshops and classes internationally\, and assisted Hofesh Shechter in a creation for the GöteborgOperans Danskompani. \n\n\n  \n\n\nIn 2019\, He created his first choreographic work for Nuova Officina della Danza in Torino. \n\n\nSince 2021\, he has been working as a freelancer\, allowing him the freedom to share his passion for dance across various countries. He has actively participated in numerous summer dance festivals as a performer\, teacher and judge\, enriching his experience and connecting him with diverse dance communities. \n\n\n  \n\n\nHe performed with: HODWORKS (Amber)\, Lyon Opera House (Le Messie)\, Frenák Company (In Time) and Sita Ostheimer Company (The Inevitable and You). In 2022\, he created his new piece for Éva Duda Dance Company in Hungary\, titled I Shall Be Free. That same year\, Attila was offered an apprenticeship with the Hofesh Shechter Company in the UK. What began as a one-year opportunity\, turned into eight years as a full company member. During his time there\, he also led workshops and classes internationally\, and assisted Hofesh Shechter in a creation for the GöteborgOperans Danskompani. \n\n\n  \n\n\nIn 2019\, He created his first choreographic work for Nuova Officina della Danza in Torino. \n\n\nSince 2021\, he has been working as a freelancer\, allowing him the freedom to share his passion for dance across various countries. Once a month for a week or more\, local and international professional dance artists are invited to join the company’s morning practice. Techniques explored are ballet\, contemporary\, and somatic practice. Classes are suitable for young dancers and established practitioners alike. ŻfinMalta provides an open and inclusive space where participants can further develop their professional practice\, make connections\, and experience life inside Malta’s National Dance Company.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_empty_space height=”30px”][vc_column_text css=””]Join Sarah Vella for a week of contemporary company open classes\, accompanied by live music from Benji Cachia. This contemporary-based class is designed to awaken and prepare the body for movement\, focusing on alignment\, fluidity\, and dynamic range.   \n  \n  \nBeginning with a gentle warm-up\, Sarah’s classes will progress through technical exercises and guided sequences\, to improve articulation\, control\, and full-bodied movement\, encouraging an embodied connection between body and space. Structured improvisation will be introduced to explore spatial awareness and different qualities in the body.
