International guest artist Faye Tan (National Dance Company Wales) brings her professional practice to Malta for a dynamic, high-physicality workshop, tailored for intermediate dancers aged 11–15, with a focus on readiness, risk, and developing movement detail.
This workshop draws from Faye’s improvisation and technical practice, and is adapted for young dancers. The session will build toward phrase work, introduced progressively and taught at an accessible pace.
Dancers will explore principles such as clarity, curiosity, spontaneity, efficiency, readiness, contrast, and challenge, with an emphasis on developing confidence, body awareness, and musicality. Through guided improvisation tasks and structured movement material, participants will be encouraged to take creative risks in a supportive environment.
