ŻfinMalta National Dance Company hosts international guest artist Faye Tan (National Dance Company Wales) to Malta for a dynamic, high-physicality workshop, tailored for intermediate dancers aged 11–15, with a focus on readiness, risk, and developing movement detail.

 

International guest artist Faye Tan (National Dance Company Wales) brings her professional practice to Malta for a dynamic, high-physicality workshop, tailored for intermediate dancers aged 11–15, with a focus on readiness, risk, and developing movement detail.

 

This workshop draws from Faye’s improvisation and technical practice, and is adapted for young dancers. The session will build toward phrase work, introduced progressively and taught at an accessible pace.

 

Dancers will explore principles such as clarity, curiosity, spontaneity, efficiency, readiness, contrast, and challenge, with an emphasis on developing confidence, body awareness, and musicality. Through guided improvisation tasks and structured movement material, participants will be encouraged to take creative risks in a supportive environment.

 

Expect an upbeat, high-energy workshop that supports technical development while nurturing individual expression, focus, and enjoyment of movement.

 

Suitable for intermediate-level dance students aged 11–15.

YOUNG MOVERS ARE INVITED TO PLAY, IMAGINE, AND DISCOVER THE JOY OF MOVEMENT IN THIS CREATIVE WORKSHOP, LED BY INTERNATIONAL GUEST ARTIST ANDREA MARTÍN ALBERT AND TAILORED FOR 6-10 YEARS.

 

This fun and energetic workshop introduces children to movement through play, imagination, and creative exploration. On the 12th October, ŻfinMalta National Dance Company hosts international guest artist Luigi Nardone, (Sharon Eyal, Balletboyz, Anton Lachky…) who will be leading a movement workshop curated especially for movement artists and dance practitioners. Find presence inside the moving body: explore imagery-based improvisation and tools to cross the space, including solo and partner work, floor work, and further training drills, before advancing to expansive, full-bodied movement phrases. An immersive and physically rich experience, and an opportunity to work with this exceptional movement artist.
