School Workshop Tour

ŻfinMalta is offering the opportunity for aspiring professional dancers to connect with their National Dance Company, within the dance schools that nurture them.

Open call for dance schools ŻfinMalta repertoire workshop tour
Between the 16th–28th June 2025 ŻfinMalta company dancers will tour ten dance schools, offering repertoire workshops, led by company dancers.

ŻfinMalta is launching an open call for dance schools to apply for the opportunity of hosting one of these workshops from their own studios. Workshops are of a maximum length of two hours, and the age of participating groups is 15+.

Read on for important information and application guidelines.

How to apply

To apply, dance school teachers should email project@zfinmalta.mt with:

 

  • School name, address and a brief description of their school
  • Teacher’s name and a brief biography
  • Proposed date, time and duration of the workshop.  
  • Age bracket of group & number of participants
  • A brief message on behalf of the group explaining why they are keen to be part of this, stating which ZfinMalta repertoire they would like to explore. Available repertoire includes : Utopia, IGNIS, ‘And the Others, ‘Decade’ and ‘Mortal Heroes.’

 

Word Limit 500 words.

 

If you wish to instead record your message, apply with a private video link with a maximum length of 2 minutes.

 

Attachments should not exceed 20mb.

 

You may propose multiple dates and times.

Timeframe and Selection Process

Following the evaluation of submissions and the selection of the ten proposals, ŻfinMalta’s Education and Outreach Artist will get in touch with selected applicants to tailor sessions further by the 1st June. ŻfinMalta will make every effort to accommodate the preferred dates, proposed length and repertoire, however this may not always be possible, and workshops and leading dancers are subject to availability. ŻfinMalta will assign two company dancers per workshop.
