Get your morning moving in a class with the ŻfinMalta company dancers and one of our expert guest teachers. Once a month for a week or more, local and international professional dance artists are invited to join the company’s morning practice. Techniques explored are ballet, contemporary, and somatic practice. Classes are suitable for young dancers and established practitioners alike. ŻfinMalta provides an open and inclusive space where participants can further develop their professional practice, make connections, and experience life inside Malta’s National Dance Company.

ŻfinMalta is thrilled to host two international guests for professional company open classes this June and July. Start your mornings with Jorge Crecis, whose highly physical classes invigorate both body and mind, and Faye Stoeser, whose contemporary sessions draw inspiration from underground club dance styles.

Contemporary with Jorge Crecis

Preparing Body, Brain and Beyond: Rooted in applied sports science and the latest advances in neurophysiology, Jorge’s class will holistically prepare participants—physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and socially—for the demands of the day ahead.

Jorge’s classes will begin with a dynamic sequence to awaken the nervous system and anchor attention in the present moment, continuing through fundamental movement patterns such as gait, jumping, crawling, pushing, and pulling, and eventually evolving into more complex sequences and coordination tasks designed to activate the whole system.

This class aims to sharpen awareness and enhance responsiveness. It boosts readiness by tuning both body and mind. More than a physical warm-up, it is a deep internal preparation to meet the day with presence, clarity, and resilience.
